Jazael's Sanctuary of Dark Arts HOTW submission

Yo!

I'm Jazael (at least online) and I want to show you my hideout in Torment league.
To start with this got some inspiration from one of the first hideout of the week episodes where someone had turned his enlightened h/o into cave and it made me want to make indoor-like space but still something different.
The task wasn't easy because every base for h/o had something wrong with it, Enlightened got too narrow when the walls were covered, Lush had those pink flowers on the water and so on. I finally managed to narrow my options to two and started debating between Unearthed and Coastal, Coastal won probably because the walls in Unearthed were too "expensive" to cover with large rocks at that time.
So Coastal it was and the rest of it was easy: Flesh, gore, bones and everything nasty!

This hideout has a story behind it and now I will try my best to describe it, I'm not the best at getting all the stuff out of my head that I would like to :D

Sanctuary of Dark Arts
There's a place that no-one want's to see.
A shore that has a lair, both deadly and full of nightmares.
There's a man who calls this place home.
Some say that he might not be a man at all but a demon from out of this world with sick, perverted and sadistic needs to slaughter people and play with them in unimaginable ways.
I Jazael, say that it is just a matter of perspective, everyone needs a hobby right?



A shore with many dangers: sharp rocks, thick fog and skeletal mermaids lurking in between!?
Ships and boats crash on the rocks or try to land on the only small safe opening that there is but survivors will always face a certain doom. Some get attacked by those mermaids and some by giant spiders that live in nearby forest and ruins. If the owner of the place happens to be not home the trespassers might turn to stone by magic guarding the entrance of the lair.



Insides of the this horrid place in short are filled with everything that is needed for torturing, flesh sculpturing, necromancy and stuff related. There's also a few people who are there that are not dead nor going to be: five of the Forsaken masters. Catarina naturally likes it here and is helpful in many ways. Haku acts as a guard and is kept here by lies about saving hes precious spirits but in reality those spirits are valuable material for testing infusion between dead flesh and a strong warrior spirit. Zana provides maps that are a nice way to get all kinds of "supplies" for various experiments. She stays because she likes to hang in treasure vault. She says that she is some sort of idealist but that's a lie, Zana is into maps because of the loot. The next two are alive and kept alive but the reasoning for them is different. Leo and Elreon are both caged up and provided the bare minimum that they need to keep breathing. Elreon is a fool with strong faith in something that does not exist and hes now an psychological experiment, how long it takes to break him? And Leo, just a strong individual fit for stamina tests and such.



Finer details include a spot for welcome traders, map device hidden in middle of cosy corpses and an entrance second big room that is divided in two: A treasure vault and an altar for spell casting and stuff that involves spirits. Also all crafting tools are hidden away from sight inside large rocks but they are still usable.


(this area needs some tinkering but for now it will do)

Hope you enjoyed my little tour around my hideout, I'm kind of proud of it and not sure how long it took for me to make it but several hours anyway :D
