The Unclaimed Throne [Torment][DEPRECATED]

The design goal was to create an atmosphere of terror without using gratuitous sprays of blood/feces/etc: stacks of corpses are gross, not scary. Being alone in the dark, being watched by someone you can't see, however, is terrifying. The design goal was pursued through lighting and object positioning to bring a cramped, claustrophobic feeling to a normally large, open area.

An important part of this goal was to have very little empty space. This hideout is not meant to showcase every Master you can cram onto the screen, nor shoehorn crafting benches that do not fit the design values.

Entry point stacks several different decorations to achieve a purple fog around the waypoint. The floor is reskinned to achieve a color that matches the ambient glow of the hideout. The map machine is skinned with torches to provide the core light source in the hideout. Light sources are all placed so that they cast further shadows into the viewable area; this creates the illusion of the hideout being darker than it really is.

A single master (Vorici, b/c intentionally failing his missions is gratifying) is located in the hideout to make selling items while mapping convenient. While there are spots to place additional masters while leveling, I am no longer using them.
