[HOTW Submission] The World-Well: Master's Challenge

Keeping with the theme of the Atlas of Worlds, my hideout is entirely centered around my map device. I've taken full advantage of the new maximum master limit, as well as Navali's inclusion to fully flesh out my space. Here we go!

The World-Well is a primordial structure that channels the energies of the Shaper himself. But unfortunately, the entrance is guarded by the Masters who will not allow any unworthy exile to reach it. Can you pass their tests?

Entrance

Here is the spawning room where exiles can meet, strategise, and prepare. In order to reach the World-Well, exiles must first prove themselves worthy to the Masters by undergoing several tests. In the entrance, there are three different shrines devoted to various combat styles that exiles can pray to.

Shaper's Shrine

In ancient Vaal tradition, the shaper of worlds was seen as a woman, cupping Wraeclast in her hands. Here, we can see an exile praying to the shrine just north of the entry room, hoping to earn the Shaper's favor. Of course, Elreon's found a home in this room. It seems secluded enough for him to study, so he's brought with him a bit of his book collection.

Challenger's Gate

The road that leads to the exiles' first challenge is small, and the gate is narrow. This daunting entryway has caused many lesser men to try and drown themselves in the nearby water instead of facing what lies beyond. If you look, you might see that Haku and Vorici are standing in line, hoping to prove their worth and reach the World-Well.

Challenger's Hall

Beyond the Challenger's Gate is a long hallway, fenced on either side by bitter rock.

Vagan's Arena

Here we see Vagan looking on as an exile attempts to catch his breath, unable to keep up with the voracious Vagan. Along the wall, there are four shrines devoted to the various kinds of warrior spirits (two-handed, spellcaster, one-handed, and bowman). As you can tell, there are shrines throughout the zone consistently inviting the presence of spirits.

Limbo

To the left of Vagan's Arena we find Tora watching over what the challengers refer to as Limbo. Those who cannot yet best Vagan are forced to spend their time here, as it is not possible to cross the Challenger's Gate a second time. It is said that any who try to throw themselves in the water are immediately rescued by Tora with some sort of Blink Arrow variation.

The Shadowed Passage

To the right of Vagan's Arena, we can see a path with the tell-tale green mists of Catarina. Be careful not to lose your way here.

Catarina's Feast

Here Catarina tests the challenger's spirit using her lilting voice and the siren-like call of death's lullaby. Those too exhausted from their fight with Vagan are easy prey for Catarina's predatory persuasions. If an exile falls victim, she quickly covers their body in a supernatural silk that slowly consumes their soul.

The Marketplace: Part 1

If an exile manages to escape Catarina's wiles, they'll find themselves in a sprawling trading district filled with many goods.

The Marketplace: Part 2

Little do they know that this is but a third test, where Zana the Cartographer takes an account of the exiles' ability to accurately appraise wares and refrain from greed.

The Marketplace: Part 3

Entrance to the World-Well

If an exile successfully moves through the Marketplace without making a single purchase, they are then granted entrance to the World-Well

The World-Well: Part 1

The World-Well is in fact two separate mechanisms, the first of which being a well that allows an exile to see into other worlds. Unsurprisingly, Navali spends most of her time in here. The man with his back to the well is known only as "The Dreamer," and he has been there since before the time of the Vaal. His identity and his purpose are unknown.

The World-Well: Part 2

The second piece of the World-Well is a grand structure that draws power from the earth below to transform various tablets into portals that can take the exile to incredible and unpredictable places.

The World-Well: Part 3

Here, exiles can feel the World-Well teem with life and power.

Returning Passage

Just beneath the World-Well, there is a small passage that takes you...

Home again!

...right back to the beginning! Those who have walked the Challenger's Path and know of the secret passage may use it at any time.

I've tried my best to make the entire space of the Unearthed hideout feel both complex and extremely structured, while keeping it under 750 decorations and working around only two of my masters being level 8. I hope everyone enjoys this!

Also, if anyone wants to see the space in full action, just shoot Slasherwrack a message and I'll be happy to give you a tour!
Bump based on update of adding photos to the actual post lol.
