Passive Reset = Ascendancy Reset?

If 3.0 is released with a Passive Skill Tree reset; would that include a reset option for Ascendancy skill points?

Yes. Using the freespec (or having it forced on you) will also respec Ascendancy Points. If you want to change Ascendancy Class, simply run through Labyrinth without assigning Ascendancies - this can be done on Normal if you wanna make it easy on yourself.
