How about a Graphics option for corpse permanence?

Since It's already been mentioned by GGG they don't want to let us lower particle, detail and even texture quality (You have to do it via the .ini file in your documents folder, the game itself won't let you) because they want their game to look "Pretty"; how about an option for corpses?

This would go a long way for lower end rigs players. Removing the ever stacking amount of corpses, that fill no purpose beyond being there, would lower the amount of rendering the machine has to do as you progress inside an instance.

This is a minor issue in Normal and Cruel difficulty right now, but as you touch Merciless and Maps, pack sizes increase exponentially, and as such, corpses that do nothing but consume recourses.

I took this idea from Grim Dawn that has a "Corpse Permanence" Bar in the video settings. After killing a creature, the corpse will "desintegrate" in a cool fashion, removing it from the rendering the GPU has to do.

It was also a mod for Torchlight II on its release. As you progressed the game would increase pack size and corpses would stack, ocassionally affecting performance. A mod was released to "dissapear" corpses after 1 second in the ground, this solution massively increased game performance.

This doesn't:
Touch particles
Touch models quality
Touch overall "Prettyness"

It simply would be an option for those of us that regardless having half decent rigs, start to suffer once the game forces you to render SO MANY useless things.
Hail build Diversity,
Death to the speed clear meta.

In the games you mentioned, corpses serve no purpose. This is not true in PoE:
Detonate Dead
Vaal Detonate Dead
Flesh Offering
Devouring Totem
Etc.

If you hate corpses, play infernal blow or use abyssal cry. Both skills cause anything but bosses to explode on death leaving no corpse.

Alternatively, you could link a level 1 Cast when Damage Taken to a level-appropriate Offering. It may not grant any stats benefits, but it will get rid of pretty much all corpses. (And then your suggestion could be implemented for the giblets that are left behind.)
