Melee Necro

Hi all,

So recently I've fallen back in love with melee pvp.

Been running around sarn with a max dodge heavystrike Raider (3x pacifism for perma phasing, dodge and status immunity)
A lot of helpful tips from Aodui - thanks mate

Now I'm planning a Hp Necro melee something . .

The idea is with self cast bone offering + legacy BoR + surrender I'll be getting around 1k life on max block with minimal tree investment.

So far I'm leaning towards BM with lvl1 clarity for commander of darkness (and it will also make me immune to 'enemies on full life' nodes like Ambush)

Has anyone experimented much with MoM recently?

I'm leaning towards Varunastra over Scourge I think

And tips or insight would be appreciated

1k life on block is cute. While trying to be tanky consider the following:

I have around 5.5k ES gain on block, with 78/78 block chance, and 50% crit reduction, and still insta-die to some things.

MoM however is a good way to gain EHP on a life based build.

MoM is great in pvp, stacking life and mana + damage taken gained as mana% corrupted items are way better than 1k block trust me.

relying for block on rumi flasks are way better idea than collecting all the block nodes on tree and wasting all your damage potential to thaat. you'll be extremely fast with insanity gloves anyway.

dodge, however, yes, you gotta get 40 from tree, 4% corrupted atziri boots, 10 from hinekora, 10 from hyrri probably and so on. you gotta invest on dodge while losing dps, that's a way to do.

75block/75 dodge is really good. provides better survivability to even 5k life builds than 20k ES regen tanks vs my KB build.

also varunastra? scourge? nah

stick with a demon dagger + bleed mod. use whirling blades.

add another whirling blades setup to your insanity gloves with 20% more attack speed, in 2-3 tries you can get a good one.
