This map is pretty easy most of the time... the wolf do hit hard as hell tho and ive died to them a bit

If you had many of these they would most likely be the best map to run 90+ since it seems i die less in this map and gain good xp then i do in other maps
It's not really logical to say that SC is harder than HC because you are less careful in picking your challenges. How can it be easier in any shape or form if you have the exact same tools at your disposal and the only difference being that if you die ONCE it's game over.

You can say what you like about why you think hardcore players do what they do, the real answers are likely very diverse, but it's unquestionable that not allowing deaths is more challenging in general than allowing. I'm fairly certain that most people running for max level in SC play by the same principles as hardcore players anyway.

The logout macro gets more credit than it deserves as well, it only prevents deaths you foresee as player, which I would bet is not even half the deaths. My personal experience with it (though I'm not in the least bit used to using it, I tend to forget I even have it) is that it has prevented maybe 1 death this league out of 25-30. And the one it might have prevented was because I knew that I was likely going to die if I didn't, so I planned on using it.

Then I'm guessing HC players wouldn't mind GGG removing insta-logout macros and reworking content so that macros would not be necessary (by obviously decreasing the damage spike from monsters).
That hasn't much to do with what I said :p. It doesn't change that you play with the same toolbox, just with an extra limitation that each character only has 1 life.

About the logout macro, I am sure many people wouldn't mind if they did just that, others might. Again hardcore players are not a homogeneous group. Baseline is that claiming that it trivialise content and that specifically make hardcore easy mode is just silly. In particular if you in the breath claims that SC is harder because!? of this and reckless behaviour.

Edit: in case it wasn't obvious this is an outside perspective, I don't enjoy playing hardcore myself.
