Vaal Pact not working

I've recently created a new char with Vaal Pact keystone, but as far as I can tell it isn't leeching a thing.

RickyDangerous is the name of the characther.

Can you give a hand on this?

Vaal Pact alone doesn't leech. You need "x% of y damage leeched as life" on something to get any leech at all.

Also, Life leech is based on a small % of your DpS, and in earlygame, you'll not have that much damage, so your lifeleech will be mediocre at best.

Take VP once you have serious 5-7 digit DpS and your leech Ascendancies.

The main problem of your character is that you have no +Life on your gear and only little resistances. At lvl 54 (Act 8 I think) you already want to have elemental resistances capped and + Life roll on all rare items.

Also you have strange pathing, picking lots of Life passives (which is fine, but is in high contrast with ignorance of + Life on gear). But you should have at least some damage passives.

Use resolute technique unless (or until) you want to focus on crit and have high enough accuracy for that

your weapon is crap (as well as all the rare items, but weapon is the most important for attack builds), you can look for some cheap leveling unique 2H weapon at poe.trade

edit: as your damage is low leech is very weak. you have some physical damage leech from carnage heart. but most of your damage is elemental. Vitality void is a common source of leech for elemental attack builds.

Your only source of leech right now, that I can find, is Carnage Heart, giving you 1.59% of physical damage leeched as life... so how much physical damage do you do? You only leech 1.59% of that. Looking at your gear and tree, I imagine your physical damage is so low you think VP isn't working because you are barely leeching enough to even notice it, much less to mitigate any incoming damage...

Ok, that makes sense. I thought that even with the current stats I should be able to notice something.
