Microtransaction Pets are disappointing.

My only beef is that most of the pets are very small.

Like the new "Gore Weta" described as "giant, red weta has been twisted by nightmare and constantly bleeds." Except it is anything but giant...

Can we expect more sizable pets in the future?

To be honest I don't really like many of the shop items so far. Some of the head designs look interesting, but most don't seem to be that great, and same for weapon effects/pets.

Spell effects seem to be cool looking though.

To be fair, a real-life giant weta is only roughly 10cm long.

I'd say all the weta pets count as 'giant', for insects.

There are limitations on how big something can be in the game engine, but I'm not aware of anything specifically preventing pets getting as large as regular monsters, other than maybe concerns about them covering too much of the screen and obscuring things. I don't know anything myself about what future pets are planned.
Is the Gore Weta not as large as the 'Giant Weta Pet'? I imagine it is, nothing wrong with that size.

The Colossal Weta is where it's at though :> I was hoping the Gore Weta would be that large.

Thanks for the reply,

Im not suggesting going gigantic like some of the regular monsters, but possibly have more pets the size of the colossal Weta (or even slightly larger). I wouldn't want my pet blending in with the environmental.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN4Gk9jW-9w&feature=player_embedded The green frog is a prime example of "small" pets that blend in.

Another suggestion that might improve pets, maybe being able to have more than one pet out at once.

Please make a mini-brutus pet, I dont care how much it costs!
Lol, I'd definitely get a mini-brutus. I somehow think it might break the lore though.
The biggest disappointment for me was that there are no cats in the shop.

I get that cats are not very popular in Oceania because they kill the local small animals and scare the hobbits and orcs alike. Still...

And don't give me: "They wouldn't fit due to the lore." Ship and alley cats would fit perfectly!

I cannot support a developer who ignores pet cats - for religious reasons. =3
PoE needs better social features... and more cats!

I'm just wondering what religion you follow that requires to have a cat at all times.
