Killshots - Null's Inclination + Speaker's Wreath Necromancer Build Guide
Update 3.5 Betrayal
I have tweaked this build somewhat. I have removed Elemental Focus from the Null’s Inclination because it was removing the minion’s ability to kill anything. It turns out that with Anger aura, it still takes a solid 1 or 2 seconds for the minions to score a crit and an ignite to kill mobs. This is plenty of time for me to score most of the killshots but it no longer stops my entire army on one straggler zombie behind a corner. The build is much better this way, especially bosses will die without my help because there are 25+ minions pounding away at the boss so at least something ignited it. I use Vitario’s Influence chest to have Anger Wrath and Haste at the same time. This is now my main farmer for Tier 10- maps using Bisco’s Introduction This is a build guide for my Necromancer that uses the Null's Inclination bow with the Speaker's Wreath helmet to summon an army of temporary minions, namely Raging Spirits (max 20) and Animated Weapons (max 66). It's a hybrid build using both bow and minions skills.

Pros and Cons
Pros - Clears fast, especially for a summoner build - Have an army of minions in front of you protecting you from monsters and projectiles - Build gets stronger if you roll chiseled maps for extra item quantity and/or pack size - Exceptional at clearing breachlord domains (untested in Chayula) - Gains an actual DPS boost from wearing the new hotness Bisco's Collar - Create the only 11 or 12link possible in the game - Automatic corpse explosions keep you safer from Vaal Detonate dead and similar effects - Lots of extra Skill effect duration helps out Immortal Call and Vaal Haste - The main weapon is equally as powerful 5linked as it is 6linked - only need to 5link it - GGG's servers seem to handle the cap of 50 animated weapons and 20 SRS rather well - previously I could crash the game if I oversummoned - A true hybrid build of bow and minions Cons - Requires unique Null's Inclination with stat requirements of 212 int and 212 dex and level 60. - Speaker's Wreath offers nothing else except its combo with Null's. It is an underpowered item compared to say The Baron. - Around 12 sockets are used just to get the main skill to work. There's very few sockets leftover for customization. - You will often find annoying straggler enemies behind you or behind obstacles with 1 hp occupying half your army's attention. Once in a while it could be a boss like Bameth or Na'em and they stay alive long enough to kill you. - You have to start your army somehow - there is significant slow ramp up time at the start of a zone. - 3.0 Poison was nerfed so it's no longer an easy route for tons of extra damage. - Can't zone out because you will lose your army. This means skipping on Vagan and Tora missions and many sales whispers. - If your army dies at a boss you will never kill the boss with only your bow. A contingency plan is using an caster SRS staff like 5link Pledge of Hands on swap or in your stash for emergencies or just skipping the boss.

Follow along with this Path of Building pastebin: https://pastebin.com/GTG2R2NN -If you don't have Path of Building, get it! It is amazing at fine tuning your build and is at times more fun than actually playing the game (eep!). We use a bow to kill a monster to summon a minion. We do this as quickly as we can to summon over 80 temporary minions. Our damage comes from our minions. We scale tons of minion damage on the tree and our gear. Our utility comes from the bow. We scale zero bow damage! We only need the bow to deal 1 damage to each monster, quickly and reliably. Additional effects are for survivability. Null's Inclination -This is the main build-enabling unique. -Its most powerful ability is auto-casting all socket minion spells when we kill a monster with the bow. You definitely want to 6 socket the bow. A 5link Nulls is all you need - in this build it's equally as powerful as a 6link Nulls. -For the 5link we use Summon Raging Spirits + Animate Weapon + Elemental Focus + Minion Damage + Melee Splash. For bosses, we swap the Melee Splash with Elemental Damage with Attacks. -The 6th lone empty socket needs a Flesh Offering. This will automatically cast it every kill which blows up corpses. With the Mistress of Sacrifice Ascendancy, we and our army get a speed boost - great for shooting faster arrows and our melee minions closing in on new targets. Because we blow up tons of corpses quickly, Spirit Eater Ascendancy gives us a stacking attack speed bonus that's a huge quality of life improvement. -I personally want a Null's with maximum attack speed roll of 12% then a high chaos resistance roll of up to 11%. The bow isn't there for damage so I don't care much about the bow's DPS. The rich upgrade is to have a corrupt culling strike implicit. -Bow gems go into the chest so we can potentially 5 or 6 link our attack skill -All we need to do is kill a 1 life monster, so plan accordingly. -Split Arrow is strong because it's usable without another support. It wants to be able to pierce. -The other option is Tornado Shot. It can fire deep into packs so pierce is less important than simply more arrows. -I use a Curse on Hit for Elemental Weakness and Poacher's Mark. Elemental Weakness is for minions dealing more damage while Poacher's Mark gives me life, mana, flask charges, and frenzy charges. Poacher's Mark also helps minions kill high level bosses much easier - accuracy is a big problem for minions in high level maps. -Other option include things like Warlord's Mark for Endurance charges, Onslaught support, and Blind. -Make sure you have a source of cold damage on your bow attack to trigger Elemental Equilibrium which will get -50% fire and lightning resistance. This lets our minions deal more damage with Anger and Wrath. This is better than any curse and works fully on bosses. You can get flat cold damage to attacks from a quiver, gloves, or jewelry slot. You do NOT want any fire or lightning damage. -There are a slew of good chest options. I am using a rare chest with a big life, es, dexterity, and resistance roll. -I have tested a 5link Cloak of Tawm’r Isley and it works ok. You generate a max army maybe 10% faster but the life roll is sorely missed. You miss out on the Cloak’s life leech gem but you do get to blind with minions because it’s not a gem socket it’s global. I find Cloak most fun if you frequently run high maps where ilvl 83+ loot drops because you can find great blues like a Runic Sceptre of Unmaking, +3 unset rings, or Virile gear for a Hidden Potential build. -Still left to test are Belly of the Beast, Cospri’s Will, Lioneye’s Vision, and Yriel’s Fostering.

This Build looks interessting. However, if i understand it right, it needs some level to actually be usable. May that be that you only after a certain level have the access to required items or such.
Would it be possible to give tips to newer players like me how you managed by, following the skill path, and what you used till you had the items / skills you needed to get the build running? I try to come by by spamming the enemies with Skeletons, zombies and Raging spirits. I doubt this will hold out long. |
