I have made some tests here with Infernal Sentinel Spectre, and it seems iron will gives more damage than minion damage, do spectres have base strength? if they have at least 100 strength would be more 58% spell damage using iron will! Against 48% from minion damage!
Do anyone have this info? I have search the entire forum but dont have find it, only ppl talking about using iron will with baron, however i do think spectres have base strength.

First of all i doubt iron will works on minions,secondly the "more" modifier from minion damage is way more powerful than the increase from iron will

Minion dmg support gem gives more inc. Dmg.
Iron will is just an increase and i see no use with it.
So dont even bother. Thinking about that gem as summoner.

I think the original question is a good one .. do some spectres have a base strength. While I can't answer that, I can guess what the base strength would need to be for iron will to be more effective than minion damage.
To do that, we use path of building: https://pastebin.com/NiR41ZD2
Note that the skeleton mages in this build get more DPS from the iron will gem than the minion damage gem. This is at 900 strength. Since the baron only gives minions the benefit of half your strength, we can infer that 450 strength on the minion would make iron will better than minion damage.
Since 450 base strength on minions is unlikely, what we probably should say is that for a spell casting minion, you need 900 strength and a baron helm for iron will to be better than minion damage
Further, since strength adds health to your spell casting spectres as well as yourself Iron will can have a lot of synergy, and is definitely a good option for survivability on life and strength based minion builds.

Iron will do works on minions, my doubt is not about that, it is about how much damage it would give.

Only 5% more, so it would not win if a spectre lvl 83 have at least 100 strength.

True enough, but you dont need 450 strength to make iron will better than minion dmg, it at least 100 strength it would be more 58% spell dmg, every 5 strength gives 1% spell dmg. Right? How did you come to the 450 strength?
