The operation could not be completed because you are already in a party.

Please help with the following issue. I am unable to join or invite people to a group. When I try to invite people, I get the error “The operation could not be completed because you are already in a party.”

When people invite me, I sometimes get an invite toast notification, but when I accept, nothing happens. I’m unable to trade with people so it’s a big problem. I tried logging out, restarting the game, switching characters, but the problem persists. The GUI does not indicate that I am part of a group and I am unable to leave the group via command line (says player is not part of a group).

How can I fix this issue?
