BUG OR INTENDED?

I recently decided to try a build with the new unique shield The Eternal Apple.
The main stats to be concerned with is You lose all endurance charges when you reach max endurance charges. and Trigger a warcry when you lose endurance charges.

I made a Berserker and took the warbringer talent which restores 25% Hp and Mana when you use a warcry.

I was hoping when the shield Triggers after losing endurance charges the warbriger talent would activate but it doesnt.

So bug or intended?

intended the shield uses the cry not u
