The Dead City of Stone - Doomguard Hideout w/ Pictures + YouTube (MTX/No MTX)
I enjoy breaking the mould and look of a base tileset, so I tried rocks with the new Doomguard Hideout. There are two versions of this hideout, one with MTX and one without.
~~~~~ The Exile and her band investigate strange rumors of the spirit of Catarina appearing, back to haunt the ruins of a known necromancy stronghold. The stronghold is a city built into stone, and precious few living inhabitants remain, at least willingly. The ghost of a young girl has been spotted by Catarina's side, involved in what looks to be a foreboding ritual. This is the Exile's camp. Einhar and his beasts refuse to enter the accursed city; he chooses to remain in the encampment outside with his pets, accompanied by Navali. Upon entering the city, the Exile notices that an ominous fog clings to the lower levels everywhere. Helena studies stained glass windows telling a disturbing story, next to a waypoint. Zana ponders an elaborate pond and a plaque in front of it, the language of the inscription being of a forgotten tongue. The pond is alight with night lights, making it look eerie. Niko observes a strange statue, carved as if it was seemingly bent over from the weight of something immense, surrounded by skull pillars on fire, and he is hesitant to go nearer. Niko is proven right when moments later without warning, the statue activates strange raven portals. They do not look like they lead to nice places. Walking into a side entrance into the city, the Exile is greeted by strange statues carved into the walls of rock. Up ahead, a foreboding library awaits. Unlike Helena, Niko and Zana, Alva showed no hesitation in rushing deeper into the city. She made a beeline for the library, knowing she would find dark tomes of knowledge there. Some wizard is sure to pay handsome sums for those tomes. The Exile climbs a staircase encased by giant bones. The Exile runs into the spirit of Catarina, in front of a shrine to necromancy in an immense graveyard of bones. Deep in the city, Jun stumbles onto an eerie park with 2 altars, one of which holds an extraordinary power to craft magical items. She sets up camp there to study it. ~~~~~ Total costs: 11,468,790 Total decorations: 761 Uses MTX: Yes Einhar, Beastmaster Level: 7 Zana, Master Cartographer Level: 7 Alva, Master Explorer Level: 7 Niko, Master of the Depths Level: 7 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_ykpsOea4o Hideout Showcase: https://hideoutshowcase.com/hideout/show/386 If you're curious what the MTX-free version is like, please visit this link: https://hideoutshowcase.com/hideout/show/385 Last bumped on Mar 15, 2019, 12:06:57 AM
