Holy Flame Totem SSF Build Idea - Question

I just tried (for the first time) to really plan a build in Path of Building and would like to know if this build could be remotely able to kill shaper/elder ... because I have never done this before and would like to try.

I did not enter any equip since I play SSF and do not know what drops. The configuration should be set to shaper (I hope this is exported as well) and Elemental Equilibrium ice damage taken.

Idea:
Chieftain to be tankier, for sustain and 100% fire conversion.
Storm Brand to trigger curses.
Arcane Surge on Flame Dash for more damage.
Ice Trap to trigger Elemental Equilibrium.

Herald of Ash and Herald of Purity for added damage without reserving too much mana (and hopefully not adding fire damage to ice trap). But I am not sure if the added physical damage from Purity gets "buffed" with the 15% physical as extra fire from Ash ... if so I would have to drop Purity to not trigger EE on fire.

So for full damage I would have to use Flame Dash, Storm Brand and Ice trap while keeping up the totems. I am afraid my life would be too low though.


Is there anything I missed? I would like to get some tips/recommendations without just pointing to another guide and saying "follow this guide". I would like to mostly use my own ideas ... if possible and if the build is not complete garbage.

1 thing I just thought of. If I use EE I would not be able to use + fire damage to spells on my weapons.

I understand you don't want to use another persons build but you can just as easily post in their guide without reading it for advice.
Also all of the builds are almost identical as there is only two ways to build this. No Elemental Overload or Elemental Overload.
You can get away with running this build with no real gear into maps. I'm using nothing over a 4 link currently and am easily clearing blue maps. Everything is available because of how easy the build is to run.
