Ancestral Chief - Thane of Flames - High Defense Build

We were streaming Path of Exile and one of our viewers asked for our character's build's details. So, here we go.

PROs:

1. Very tough with high armour and resistances.
2. High life.
3. Lord of the flames.
4. Large AoE damage.
5. Lag friendly.

CONs:

1. Slow attacker.
2. Slow movement speed.
3. Will spend about 2-3 exalted orbs to get excellent equipment.

1. Strength is over 550.
2. Armour reduction with flasks and buffs is 86%. You can get more with further fine tuning.
3. Resistances are very high, providing strong survivability. As mentioned in the PROs, this build is very LAG friendly.

Notes:

1. We use Chain Hook to move and inflict massive area of effect damage.
2. We use Shield Charge to move around maps swiftly.
3. You can change both 1 and 2 according to your convenience. Strength and Fire-based skills should be given a priority, considering the ascendancy choices.
4. In case of LAG and stutter, hold down your primary attack skill key (in our case, Chain Hook) and spam warcries (in our case, THREE cries) and occasionally, flasks. When the server and/or your internet connection sort out their marital differences, the character should be standing hunky-dory.

Final Equipment:

We ended up settling on Consecrated Path as the best attack and movement skill for this build. Reckoning and Vengeance have Curse on Hit and Flammability attached to them and that allows us to curse enemies as they hit us and trigger blocks. We also added Command of Steel for bonus damage based off of our block attack chance.

With the outfit we have right now, we are confident that we can level this build all the way to 100. It is our regret that we didn't finish the grind and were distracted by live streaming other games.

On the last day of Harvest league, we managed to get 1.5 levels, murder 3 to 4 bosses, and die only twice in the whole grinding session (to a Basilisk and the Wind Exile Boss).
