Spectral Shield Throw
I've always liked the shield throw skill, but I've never actually found a good build for it (the bleeding one has a low damage for end game content...), so I've done some search around for old builds trying to find one with a decent damage and found one that reaches 16m :O
I've taken the pob of that build and tried to understand it (to make sure is not some kind of clickbait with high damage and 1 hp :D ), and it seems decent (on paper). The build is this one: https://pastebin.com/wQgRWSQx (I've added some note to understand the equipment) The things that I find not inspiring are: - Golems without minions regeneration or hp boost. - 38% block chance (feels low for a shield based skill) - EXPENSIVE! bottled faith + unnatural instinct are pretty much 20ex just for those 2 items, I haven't checked the rest, but watcher's eye is usually expensive too and looks mandatory for the damage conversion. If someone has ideas on how to improve the build, maybe it can become a viable one to use this skill, meanwhile I'll keep thinking about it... Last bumped on May 18, 2021, 6:16:19 PM

This build is made of almost all mirror tier items.
If you can afford it you also can do beleed one to 8M DPS. 2M DPS is good enough on bleed gladiator to do all the content for 5 ex. " yeah, those items are crazy expensive, also not really 100% sure are worth it, that's why I was asking if someone has any ideas on how to improve it (and make it cheaper) :D The bleed one is nice, but freeze is always more fun than dots (especially against bosses). If 2m are enough for everything I think the equip in this cold build can be downsized and reach the same value too... Also the bleed build hardly reach 1m before you start using all awakening gems, the cold version requires just 2 instead, I just need to cut costs on the equipment, find a way to boost the block chance and a way to make the golems survive or remove them completely somehow :D | |
I've done some more tests on the pob, and the herald of ash is pretty much useless, the damage it gives is so tiny that won't even matter :D
So by removing that we can move precision in the boots and get it affected by enlightment (allowing us to get it a bit higher level if needed too). What I'm still unsure is if there is a way to boost the golem survivability, because even at level 20, I don't see them surviving for more than a couple of seconds in an high level content, and with the trigger changes 8 seconds means that they will remain dead for 6 seconds before they return making them totally useless at this point :D Also is there someone who tried the cwdt vortex? In this context I think it's for chilling (and with the cluster will shock instead), but not sure how effective it can be at level 7... |
