Fanning is good, it's about +15%. Without Nimis it feels a bit clunky though.

4 foulborn uniques would be really hard to acquire (we use 5 total, one of them is hh/mb).

Well it says the following
"30% increased Freeze Duration on Enemies",
"+2 to Level of all Cold Skill Gems if at least 4 Foulborn Unique Items are Equipped",
"Your Hits ignore Enemy Monster Cold Resistances if all Equipped Rings are Cryonic Rings"

They are 3 seperate lines so even if you can't get the +2 early on the others are still beneficial.
Next to that the unique's that can be foulborn touched would still have their identity stats remain so for example a mageblood wont have its main stat that makes a mageblood a mageblood replaced based on what the QA said.

So I guess we will have to wait and see if we get lucky to have 4 uniques on the list of foulborn unique's or if we get a unique for the cryonic ring.

Either way it might still be worth it for the freeze duration and ignoring cold rest

do we go icicle of fanning assap or is it worse for clear and we stick to normal icicle?

Interestingly I cannot do the Hive Fortress due to the entire instance wide AOE after you finish the waves. I do wonder tho what's the timing between each pulse, need to test whether Dissolution reservation is removed.

I'm working on my atlas with pconc of boucning, but I hope there's a way to solve fortress AOE damage, because otherwise icicle mine looks perfect for farming the mechanic.

For anyone going this build and wanting to know how best to use the gear generating section of the new breach tree - I have gone this setup and already got a few +1 Cold skill Sceptres and Amulets from higher level gear wombs.

For the bottom node I have here, it might be worth swapping this to Crit instead of Caster however I was specifically targeting +1 cold so I assumed with Caster, then my odds of getting a +1 would be higher.

Pre-Dissolution I didn't have any trouble as long as you're moving fast enough and killing mobs along the way to refill life flask. After swapping to Dissolution there is enough time to recover the reserved damage between pulses so it just depends on if/how often you're getting hit by the mobs along the way to reset the recovery timer.
