Why stack intelligence?

Intelligence scales in a number of ways to give you a lot of damage. First is with weapons like these, I have chosen to switch to Smite because wand was boring after 40/40 and lvl 100.



In addition, we get a ton of spell damage from cluster jewels and combined with crown of eyes, we get a lot of attack damage (something like 1200% increased)



Intelligence also gives % Energy Shield, which we convert to damage with tranquility.



There's a Evasion and ES mastery that gives 1% evasion/5 intelligence which translates to roughly 420% increased evasion.

Why Smite?
Currently smite has the ability to hit enemies twice if you have some kind of ancestral call/additional strikes. The clone hits them with the melee portion and you hit them with the AOE if you target slightly to the side of them and not-name-lock. This gives you almost double single target DPS. Smite also scales well with aura effectiveness and gives a large amount of flat lightning (which we scale with our 1200% increased damage).

Vaal smite is also good for breach and the oppenheimer expedition node. Can often 1 click the entire screen which is very satisfying.

Why Scion?
Scion currently has some of the most efficient damage nodes on her tree having access to Occultist and berserker. She also has 5 more passive points which helps us travel. The other options are inquisitor, elementalist/occultist and trickster. They have their upsides but generally speaking Scion has really efficient damage ascendancy nodes.

She also has access to the lethal pride, transcendent flesh combo to give her 190% increased global multiplier, which for smite in particular is almost half of my crit multi. (currently at 535%)

DPS?
62m Smite fully buffed, 104m Smite if you're hitting with melee AND aoe portion.
39.9m vaal smite, enough to 1 hit most alch and go expeditions.
[keep in mind that my version is very invested, with half of the budget, you can get to 70% of my damage]

Defenses?
82k max hit, 65k ele max hit, CI, 10k ES, 20k Evasion, 231% movespeed. Defiance banner w/ 83% increased aura effect. Curse immune

very important to get the pantheon nodes on brine king and garukhan for shock reduction, blind immunity, freeze immunity and chill reduction.

Crafting tips:
Weapon:
(1)Buy base, essence spam woe until t1/t2 lightning flat,
(2)lock prefix, veiled chaos
(3)if veiled prefix, unveil ele pen, if fail return to (1)
(4)multimod attack speed and crit chance or you can slam/slam/clean until you have high enough tier mods.
Gloves:
(1)buy fractured intelligence base with high ES
(2)essence spam zeal until high enough tier res suffix
(3)use eldritch currency on prefix until high enough ES, craft on ES
(4)put lightning exposure and non-vaal strike additional targets on it
Boots:
(1)buy fractured int base with high es
(2)spam wrath/anger/hatred essence until high enough res suffix
(3)lock suffix aisling for movespeed
(4)enchant ailment avoidance and action speed
boots(alternative)
(1)buy fractured int base with high es
(2)spam zeal essence until high enough res suffix
(3)craft on ES
(4)enchant ailment avoidance and action speed
Amulet
(1)buy Int% synth base, spam spite essence until all attribute+1 other useful suffix (crit multi/crit chance)

Cluster:
(1)buy ilvl 84 12 passive spell damage clusters
(2)alteration spam until +4 attribute/+6 int/25-35% inc effect
(3)regal for third mod
You will want at least 1 4att large cluster as the build does need 212 dex.
Chest:
(1)buy shaper base ilvl 85, alteration spam until % int and 1 other shaper mod.
(2)maven orb %int, if fail return to (1)
(3)buy/use step (1+2) to make elevated redeemer chest with 26% aura effect
(4)awakener orb them together and pray to Chris for open suffix
(5)Chris blessed you with open suffix so you lock suffix, clean, ex/ex/clean until high enough ES
(6)craft on %attribute and call it a day

Its pretty cool but very very expensive. I would like to see a "budget" version to see how it fair.
