Steam Deck Hideout Imports

On PC there is an import option. On the deck there isn't one, but it's not using the console trading so I assume it's connected to the PC side of things. If I were to log in on a PC would I be able to import a hideout then have it transfer to my steam deck?

If you import a hideout onto your account on PC then this would persist for when you next play using Steam Deck. I hope this helps!
*Solution Edit*

Ok, so you have Steam Deck and are used to Windows PoE gaming, but, you want to update your hideout. Me too, let's do it.

1. Open Desktop Mode on your SD

2. Verify root/admin/sudo/gg/godmode in Dolphin/SteamOS -
A. Bottom Left/Start Menu > Search > Konsole
B. Type - without the following quotes - "sudo steamos -readonly disable"
b. It will give you warnings and ask for a password to be set. No reason you wouldn't keep the same pw as your Steam acc login, which you can check/set via the start menu and searching for "user" which will prompt you appropriately.

3. Open a file folder, or download the .hideout you want. In the file explorer window at the top right corner, there's an = sign, click it, then click "Show hidden folders"
A. The game files are kept separate from the operating files because they don't want people corrupting games, and the default is to make sure you don't accidentally need to factory reset.

4. Now that you have your .hideout file downloaded to an accessible location, copy it, and, through the file nav you should be able to not only see, but paste your hideout:
A. Launch PoE FROM DESKTOP MODE. Go to your hideout, hit the Import button. Let's find that .hideout file. You'll see it pull up the poegamefolder location. Make note of it.
B. Back to SteamDeck desktop mode - open Dolphin file manager and navigate to that location. It should be: /home/.steam/steamapps/common/Path of Exile
C. Paste your .hideout files in that directory
D. Breathe

5. Open PoE from Desktop again, go to your hideout, hit Import. You'll have to be standing in the hideout base design in order for it to load, but you should to good to go. I get mine from the #1 google prompt when you search "poe hideout" but there are probably other ways of doing it.

Hope that helps! Stay safe in that new hideout.

Hi JC,

No, that does not help.

I can't push buttons on my Gameboy to fold my laundry. They are not transitive. If someone is playing on PC, clearly, they can IMPORT FROM THE DOWNLOAD.

The SteamDeck question applies to other console ports as well. Yes, we all have phones, and, yes - I can sub to new loot filters on the PoE site from my phone/laptop.

If I was X, let's call X = (PS Xbox SteamDeck), why can't I do the same?

I realize this is more on Steam's back than GGG, but, it's something to consider that we could use an easy way to import hideouts.

It's more of a cracking steamdeck issue than you guys. I'm looking forward to cross platform play in PoE2, will there be an overhaul of your web UX more fitting to not-1997?

*Edit* - Is there a resource I'm missing to make this easier?
