Does the Quality Effect on Devour Support trigger if a minion devours a corpse?

Was taking a look at the Devour support skill gem, thought it might be quite thematic with some zombies.

I noticed that when a minion kills something, they devour the corpse and get healed (and mana restored too, but do minions ever use mana?), and I'm wondering if that means that the quality effect does not trigger (or if it does, only for that specific minion?), as the minion devoured the corpse, and not myself.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. Even if you yourself consume corpses for an offering, I'm wondering if that fits the quality bonus's threshold to grant the damage bonus to a minion skill.
