3.25 Glacial Hammer | Lets develope together!

Hey Exiles,

I was looking for a Glacial Hammer Juggernaut guide for 3.25 but the guides you will see are nit updated yet.

I am not a professional and most of the time I try to decrease the amount of div per hour while having fun. Every league, for me, is time for a new goal and a mechanic I didnt play before.

This league I wanted to play:

Heist for some bubblegum currency and hunt for high valuable replicas or jewelery.

Harvest to craft my own early/mid-game gear and for selling lifeforce in bulk.

Essence for selling in bulk.

As I said I am not a professional and dont have the knowledge of presentating a guide but I was planning and thinking a lot about a well rounded Glacial Hammer Juggernaut for the current league.

Why do I post my POB here?

On the one hand I want to know what you think about passive tree, items and gems. On the other hand I want to try to help people like me who maybe want to start as a Glacial Hammer Juggernaut but are kind of lost because there is no 3.25 guide.

After this thread is online, I will work on a leveling-POB until you can switch to Glacial Hammer. In addition I will try to give all my tipps and things I learned in the notes section.

Hey, i was thinking about this and want to start with glacial hammer as well. Long time player but never rly did the build side. No idea of scaling, defenses and such but here :

1. Ascendancy : Ranger / Warden

2. Main weapon could be https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Varunastra

2. Secondary could be the same as yours if that works with varu. If def is problematic go shield i guess?

3. Defenses would be HP, ES, Suppression?, or maybe even going Barkskin ascendancy?

4. Damage vise crit would be the best? On tree we can take nodes for swords, maces, daggers, claws anything beside a bow since we have varunastra.

5. Since we have varu we can use whirling blades no? We might even fit Nightblade Support if it works with varunastra?

6. We can leverage even this cluster, which confirmed works and is 24%: Added Small Passive Skills grant: Sword Attacks deal 12% increased Damage with Hits and Ailments and Added Small Passive Skills grant: Axe Attacks deal 12% increased Damage with Hits and Ailments

What is the intension behind choosing normal gem over transfigured gem ?

Precise Technique greatly limit the upper limit of DPS. In practical terms, you'll need other resources to ensure DPS growth same as Crit build. GH of shattering enables to skip the initial cost for critical chances.

I try to explain it. On another thread I was asking for Glacial Hammer or Glacial Hammer of Shattering. The answer was:



I have chosen Precise Technic over CritChance because I was struggeling to fit a good amount of critchance into the POB. As far as they increased the physical scaling to 622% I thought we should get a good amount of physical damage through Precise Technic first.

You are right, that we dont need the crit invest when we use Glacial Hammer of Shattering, but what about the invest in Critmulti? Critmulti was, for my knowledge, expensive to increase.

In addition: If I delete Precise Technic I lose a big amount of damage in the POB. I am not at home now, I can test it tomorrow again, but it is huge damage, at least in POB.

Maybe you can help?

Factual errors/biases are easy to correct if we don't strive for too much precision. :)

Speaking of skill tree, it's a matter of direction we branch out or cut off. (it depends on the target level of the character.)
As BaronWins mentioned, cluster jewel has high potential with increasing damages, not just for utilities.

need to tell that Glacial Hammer won't be my starter.

I will pick him as a second one when I have more information on how other people play it with all that changes.

I just have to less knowledge to set a new charakter in this "all changed" scenario and dont want to ruin leaguestart.

After feeding my first character I will do research and renew the POB.

I will take a look into this thread from time to time and im interested in how your glacial hammer builds evolve.
