[3.25] Concept in Testing | Viper Strike with 8k+ Perma-Ward | Trickster
Hi there,
I took the Concept of Palsterons Rolling Magma Video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RpqbDLkTNE) and rebuild it around Viper Strike. The Video explains way better how the defence of the build works than I could, so I will not even try to do it. I'm not really good at creating Builds, so there is most likely a lot to improve that I've missed, so if someone who is better at it, who likes the concept and wants to make it his own, he is free to go for it. The Build can reach Poison Cap on Pinnacle Bosses and over 15 Mio. on Uber Pinnacle Bosses. PoBs

Here is the final PoB of what this build could be:
https://pobb.in/TO5p1kbvksWU Here is how my current char looks like, which lacks especially in damage at the moment, so lot of things to improve atm: https://pobb.in/haTxEmCxXSf_ Note about PoB: The Effect of the boots is not in PoB, so you have to insert the following as a Custom Modifier, if you use that build and import your character: Downsides from Boots (Embrace Madness): 90% reduced effect of flasks 60% reduced action speed 90% reduced life recovery rate 90% reduced flask charges gained 90% reduced energy shield recovery rate 60% increased damage taken My notes to the build:

As Weapon you should aim for a high physical two-hand sword, a Lion Sword Base, seems like the Ideal option here, since it gives base +50 to 2 attributes that you will have problems with.
Maybe there are options that don't resove around high physical + Mings, I personally don't know any. Gem setup must be changed for clearing and boss fights or it can be played with weapon swap, with an single target gem setup (Multistrike) in the stronger weapon and a clearing gem (Melee Splash) setup in the weaker one. For clearing I would use Automation+Withering Step, for bosses I would disable it, so you can dodge with Dash (or what other movement skill you prefer). You will still get Wither due to Despair + "The Balance of Terror", which I would not use in clearing. Ancestral Cry is nice for clearing, due to Exerts also on bosses it is possible to keep the + max resis up due to Ashes and Enhance with a cooldown lower than the buff runtime. I personally use it with Autoexert for clear only, since I don't really like manually casting warcrys. Whisper of Doom, seems like the best Option for Anointment, since it allows Despair + Poacher's Mark + Mark Mastery, which is around 60% increased Damage. The Build is really expanisive. You need Immunity against all common DoT effects you can get. Problems I have with the Build/What maybe could be Improved:
Spoiler
1. Ward comes with a lot of problems in itself:
-Low Stun threshold, I use avoid Stun on jewels at the moment, in the maximum version is goes around the Problem with the Brine King Pantheon. -Dot's bypass Ward, we can get immunity to Ignite, Bleed, Poison, Burning Ground, every other Dot effect does "insane" Damage against a really low Life pool. Especially the blue mana burn rings around mobs, Laby traps and some boss abilities, like pools and beams. If you don't dodge them, you will die fast. 2. Ming's Hearth while boosting your Damage by a lot, reduces your Lifepool and your Ward by a lot, if someone knows an alternative setup without losing a lot of Damage, that would be nice. 3. "Embrace Madness" takes a lot of time to build up, slowing you down at the start of every content you play, also if you die in an Bossfight where the portal directly leads to the boss, you have a huge problem. The avg. buildup takes 40 seconds, in this time you have reduced ward, so it is highly likely to die if hit by anything in that time. 4. The "Embrace Madness" Flask debuff can run out, if the flask debuff is not chosen 20 times in a row, which mathematically should happen on avg. every 100 minutes. Which will reduce your ward by an factor of 8, and will most likely kill you if you are hit when that happens. 5. Attributes, the build resolves around a lot of uniques, which made me "waste" a lot of points into the big attribute nodes. I don't like it, but I haven't found a way around it. 6. Spell Suppression is hard to cap, maybe aim for an dex base as gloves till you can get an insane body armor. 7. Overall I still think that the max hit taken value is to low, especially when Immortal Call is not up, for it to run it stable. 8. Most likely not playable after 3.25 for a while, since it requires a Kingsmarch Unique, of which we do not know if it will come back after 3.25. Most likely I forgot some importent things here Last bumped on Aug 30, 2024, 7:20:34 AM
