This is a new "moderator" response that I received and I can't believe that's a thing. First of all, this was on a thread with multiple pages of responses....how can you say that my post is off-topic and worthy of being deleted? Second of all...the OP is ALWAYS a jumping off point. Conversations evolve, and they evolve quickly. If you are worried about "derailing the conversation", then you should lock it after the first page of responses.
