Connected same POE account to 2 different steam accounts

Yeah i kind of messed up and ended up with the following situation:
I created a Steam account for a friend and somehow it seems like I connected my Path of exile account to his Steam account. Now my steam account and his steam account are connected to the same poe account which causes a lot of issues. Does anyone have an idea how i can solve that problem ? It shouldn't be possible to associate multiple Steam accounts with a single Path of Exile account.
If you log into your own account on the website and use the Manage Account section of your profile (found here) you should be able to check if it is linked to Steam, and link the account to your Steam again if you need to do so. If this gives you a warning about deleting another account currently linked to Steam, you may need to first log into that other account and connect an email address to that account (if you wish to retain access to that account).
