Will POE merge mtx from pc/console for poe2?

I have a console account I purchased a fair amount of mtx on. I no longer have access to a console. I wanted to start anew on pc with a fresh account (same email), but not if that means my mtx won't merge with my console once poe2 drops. I have emailed support weeks ago and they said "We do not have any additional information for you at this time". Anyone know if our accounts from poe 1 from pc and console will be merged together for poe 2? Or are we going to have to just simply pick the one we spent the most mtx on and go forward with that.

I'm afraid that this isn't something that we're able to speculate on at this stage, unfortunately. Please note that we cannot speculate on information that has not been publicly announced yet.
We've mentioned here that we would have more information relating to Path of Exile 2 and it's Early Access available within the next few weeks.
