GGG hired POBs original author; a lot of it's functionality is being build into POE2.

Hopefully they're doing the same for APT; and hopefully they'll back port both to POE1.

Unfortunately for HC players, logout macro is getting nerfed into the ground. Unless you wait ~15 minutes for the instance to time out; if you disconnect you'll be put right back where you left. (I have no idea how this is going to work for party play.)

I'd ask the question as to whether or not these third party applications could be added into the game.
Path of Building serves a specific purpose, it enables you to theorycraft your character which is honestly available in most games anyway.
But more importantly it allows you to share complex builds with people, which only enriches the community and opens the door for newer players to learn.

TradeMacros could and should honestly be implemented into the game. How much manual time is wasted checking to see how much an item is valued at, certainly gives players who use it an advantage over others who couldn't be bothered and just throw it back on the ground.
But we're already starting to see this, atleast with currency, although there are two trade markets going for currency which means you need to check both.
This all needs to be an in-house solution, it's the economy of the game and players who access the API have a far superior/faster responsive advantage to the market then new players using "Live Search" which is significantly slower than APIs.

I'm honestly not sure why they haven't implemented at least the ability to paste an item into the trade filter on the website. They have all the info available in the copy to clipboard from game, that would honestly help a great deal and I'd think would be super simple since third part tools can already do that basically.

Just paste item, adjust filter values has needed, click search. Obviously not as effective as APT but APT is overpowered in a lot of ways, this would be a good middle ground and then banning APT wouldn't be such a hard hit to some people.

3rd part tools, I don't recommend if they require an install. I am a software engineer and it is getting easier and easier to inject malicious content without original author's knowledge even. Things like FilterBlade make sense and are probably essential at this point.

If they banned for many of these macros, id say over 70% of players will be banned and pretty much every streamer.

At best all they could do is give a warning to all to stop using them. Even that will have insane backlash.
