Can someone give me a quick step by step guide on how to recombinate?

I just want to know how to craft 3x T1 Prefix weapons and keep finding conflicting answers and the content creators all want to make 1 hour videos or master thesis out of this. So if someone already knows how to do this please just tell me in a a short step by step so i dont keep wasting my time.

For best odds, but more time/cost to prep:

1. Roll items with alterations to get prefix #1
2. Roll items with alternations to get prefix #2
3. Turn items rare (regal).
4. Annual items back down to single desired prefixs
5. Beast craft aspects onto items
6. Multi mod bench craft
7. Benchcraft exclusive modifiers (ex. betrayal mods)
8. Recomb and hope to hit 2 desired prefixes, this is base #1.
9. Repeat steps #1-8 for prefixs #2 and #3, this creates base #2.

You should now have two 2-prefix rares, each with 1 shared prefix and 1 unique prefix. doing it this way maximizes the chances of keeping all 3 prefixes and getting what you want.


10. Multi mod bench craft on both bases (if not already present).
11. Bench craft exclusive modifiers on both bases.
12. smash base #1 into base #2, hope for the best.

It took me 5 attempts to get a triple prefix wand, which is bad RNG, but just to give you an idea.

(alternatively, you can make base #1, and then repeat steps #2-7 only, giving you a 2- desired prefix rare and a 1-desired prefix rare, but you will have a higher chance of getting only 2 prefixes in final item, or getting on of the exclusive blocking mods as a prefix.)

first recomb:
p1: desired mod 1 (desired mod 2 on the other item)
p2: (crafted) any choosen mod from bench (+quality to socketed gems)
p3: (crafted) any choosen mod from bench (inc minion damage and life)
s1: aspect of the crab
s2: (crafted) can have up to 3 crafted modifiers)
s3: empty

second recomb:
p1: desired mod 1 (desired mod 1 on the other item as well)
p2: desired mod 2 (desired mod 3 on the other item)
p3: (crafted any choosen mod from the bench (inc minion damage and life)
s1: aspect of the crab
s2: (crafted) can have up to 3 crafted modifiers
s3: (crafted) any choosen mod from the bench (double damage while focused)
Hi, I would like to try my first recomb. But I am confused on the crafted mods portion and how to divide the mods.

If you want a quick guide, you just put in two items. The items need to be relatively alike. They do not need to be the exact same base. You can for example combinate a int based body armour with a non-int based body armour. If the items are not compatible, it just wont let you combinate them.

It then chooses one base to combinate on. The mods get chosen from the pool of mods on both bases, but other properties, like, amount of link, influence, corruption etc, get picked depending on the base item that was chosen in the first coin flip. Item level is based off a formula of the item levels of the two items.
