How to "price with note" on trade site?

I'd like to attach notes to some of the items I'm listing, but don't know how. Things like saying I'm willing to haggle or trade for different currencies. How to do so? On the trade site, in the filter there is an option to sort for listings with notes (see below). An I've found examples of people's notes. For examples: https://imgur.com/a/nuEu4nQ. See that these notes are varied and not just restating the price. Some of the notes even list in a different currency than the listing price.

Are you using stash tabs for trading? Its just one of the options in the drop down menu. When you right click on the item to set the price there's four options, the top one is note.

This page has a list of tags for pricing item using the note, which is pretty useful for currencies that aren't in the dropdown menu and setting bulk trades.

Yeah, that's the thing I need help with. I've seen the page you linked before. But I don't see any syntax on there for notes.
I've tried different things myself, like putting my note after a final ~, like

But nothing has worked so far. Can't get to a state where the note shows up on the trade site.

Yeah i'm not too sure. See what you mean, same for me. When searching for it I saw a few post saying it might of been removed at some point because it was causing aggravation, don't know if that is true but wouldn't be surprising.

Do the items you are looking at on the trade site have both a currency price and a note? In the past I seem to remember it put a little note on the item, but that was a long time ago, and not sure it works like that. You can write the message you want in the note, but if you want it to have the currency symbol as well, I don't know.

When I check listing by price by note, they all seem to have a currency attacked, and not a note that I can see.

I've done some testing and I can't see how they are getting them to list like that.

If I write a note in the note, the note appears on the item in my stash, but the item gets listed on the trade site as "No listed price" rather than "Price with note" and the note can not be seen on the trade site. If I set the price of the item in the note, it gets listed on the item, but the listing gets listed as "buyout or fixed price". So don't know how they are doing it. Also think it might be a bad idea in most case, because it makes the item for unsearchable a subsection of buyers who aren't using sale type as "Any". There's only 77 items coming up on online in "price with note" on necro settlers currently. So I don't think there will be much buyers looking in there specifically.

It used to be possible. I tried it once but stopped using it because it didn't seem like it was conducive to good trading interactions. Which is what some of the post I read were suggesting, that people were using it as a way to get their items listed at the top of the page.

Yeah, take a look at the imgur link. The note is text in gold at the bottom of the listing, and currency price is at right like usual. For example, in the last pic, the guy's note was "111"

I had a go at trying to figure it out. I was able to get some items to list in the "Price with not section" but I couldn't get it to list there with a note on the item. It is strange how it works as well. I think if any currency is listed in the other fields they over write the note and if the note uses currency syntax, it also over writes the note ad puts it as fixed price or negotiable depending on the syntax used. Also tried adding the note after the currency syntax and trying to guess what it might be, like "~note", "-", "|", "" etc. Couldn't get it to work. As mentioned before, listing with no syntax, or I guess some of these attempts of wrong syntax will show the note on the item in my stash, and list it on the site, but list it with sale type no price set and not have the note on the listing. Also tried to set a tab with exact price on all items and then add the note, that did not solve it.

They do mention the note field, but it says to skip over it, and that it automatically populates based on using the other fields. No mention beyond that of how to add annotation on the items that I can see.

Hopefully someone who has used it before can elaborate. I think what you are pointing out is how I had done it in the past, but that was many leagues ago, so I'm not certain. As mention in the thread, not sure how useful this can be, because it doesn't seem to be get widely used by buyers or sellers. So it will require the buyer to have the right field selection and be paying attention to reading the note and be on board with the information the note is conveying. Maybe it gets used for Mirror service or something, but I'm not seeing that.

I don't have that much knowledge about the trade leagues myself. I think most the more complex trading is being done using trade chat or other applications. It is unfortunate that it is not all in one place, but the trade site does have limitations, so these other methods have been created to get around those limitations.
