How does max rage work?

I wanted to try out rage mechanic and I found the nodes that give me +max rage. But on wiki i read that max rage is 30 and when I tested it on field I already had 30 rage . So are the nodes giving over 30 rage or is it capped at 30 ?

30 is the default maximum. All characters start with this. + to max can push this cap higher, so if you have +10 to max your max will now be able to go up to 40, and so on. It's not an absolute cap, just the default starting cap.

Woah , thats very strong then. Especially when you combine it with 1% more armour for every rage . Thank you for giving me the answer , I was blocked by the lack of this knowledge
