PoE 2 Early Acces Data
Hi, on the early acces Q&A you said, all data from early acces after 1.0 game relase will go into "early acces league" intead standard.
What is the reason behind that? After 1.0 relase nobody ever will be able to make a new character on "early acces league" anymore so the economics will be dead there. Why not just let peoples play their early acces characters on standard after relase? (i know some of builds might not work, or items might be changed, but still). Maybe just dont make any legacy items till 1.0 relase (any item balance changes will affects all existing items till 1.0) and the problems will be fixed. I am standard poe 1 player my self, that's why i am worried that after early acces, i will have to start all over in standard again to be able to play with some player base with live economy. GGG please fix! Last edited by Crokodylek#2830 on Nov 23, 2024, 11:58:31 AM Last bumped on Nov 25, 2024, 4:38:22 AM

Probably better for getting an answer to this on another section of the forum. This section is for gameplay related questions. Probably feedback and suggestions or general discussion. I've noticed in the help and information section GGG have been very active in answering questions since the announcement.
I get that it does relate to game play but they seem to be answering POE2 questions elsewhere. They are pretty careful with what they do with the leagues. Certainly a good question to know before you start playing. Whether that progress will continue in standard or it's basically just it's own league that gets locked out. Sounds by like what you are saying it is the latter. Also sounds to me like there is going to be a lot of changes between early access and official launch if they still have multiple classes and ascendancies not yet added. Hope you get some more clarification. That would seem a bit more like beta testing than early access, but I guess it depends how it is defined. If GGG allowed early access into Standard, then there would be a p2w component to the game. At game launch everyone who paid real money would have an advantage. The early access league will probably become SSF at the game launch anyways.

" If you don't want to start again after early access, don't play early access. It's really that simple. It doesn't matter that much whether stuff was made legacy or not; if early access drops went into standard release those with early access have had months or years to build a currency base that those without have not. You should be worried that you will have to start all over in standard again, because you will have to start all over in standard again. That is by design. Early access is not standard, it's balance is likely to be wildly different, and it is the only part of the game locked behind a price. If it is that important to you not to start over, you have an option available to you that doesn't screw over anyone else - don't play it. |
