Resistances and armour in poe 2

So will elemental resistances be the must have as in poe1 while the armour and chaos resistance will be a stuff that we can skip? Anyone knows?

Resistance will be just as important. I would not suggest skipping 2 major layers of defense either. Chaos has increasingly become more prevalent even in POE1, and is basically mandatory if you do not want to die every map. Also Armour will apply to phys spells in POE2 so it is even more valuable.

I'd go into PoE 2 thinking absolutely everything is important. GGG did their darndest to discard anything mundane.
