Qucik question about binding mouse keys

in PoE2 there is a bigger empathizes on combos and "more" skills, that seem really fun.

when it comes to keyboard buttons, there is an alternative setup on Shift+Button right? does this apply to mouse buttons as well then?

so that i can have a skill on Mouse4 and then have a different one on Shift+Mouse4.

Is there something in PoE 1 that prevents this or makes it hard to use properly?

It looked like I could have Mouse5 and Shift+Mouse5 bound to different actions, though I didn't test in-game.
