[POE 2] "Failed to connect to instance"

On Steam; I disconnected in the middle of a boss fight (Forgemaster), and while I can login to the character screen, after pressing play, the loading screen goes for a while then I'm met with a "Failed to connect to instance" error message.
Would love for an option to force restart at last checkpoint from character menu. Last bumped on Dec 8, 2024, 10:30:25 PM

I had the exact same issue, except I was exploring in the farmlands in Act I.
