Adding any persistent buff support gems to lingering illusion causes it to not work

If you add a persistent buff support gem i.e. vitality, clarity, or precision, it no longer creates an illusion when you roll. Does not matter what combination of support gems, issue occurs even with just vitality socketed for example. The supports themselves seem to function however, just not the skill.

This issue does not affect herald of thunder, which still works with these support gems.

Same. I have Herald of Thunder and Herald of Ice. When i put either of my support gems in for them (vitality or precision) it turns them off. It cant be turned on with a support gem installed. I have wasted resources on two support gems. Please help

Update: I think it might be cause i dont have enough spirit? How does one go about gaining more spirit??
