yes, but thats only a bandaid - just wait until you have done a couple thousand maps.
searching for citadels which you left uncleared becomes a MENACE Farming salt on the forums since 2024

I think being able to zoom out more would be amazing also something like the search in the passive tree where you can search for Boss, Expo, Ritual, ext.. and it highlights, maybe even gives you a drop down that if you click on it there it will move you view to that location.
Also maybe add a button that shows the direction of exposed Citadels like the home and Burning Monolith have. I have 167 hours in poe2 and have yet to find a Citadel. Still not as unlucky as the dude who had his atlas brick because of no connecting nodes. Not sure if this would help or not. :) |

" Couldn't agree more, I am still running T7 maps because I can't substain them so for something to do I decided to just run T1 and T2 maps to get rid of all my waystones and see if I could find a citadel. Here I am with no T1s left and a handful of T2s, following the same direction using both theories about how to find them, yes even looking at the number of bodies in the towers and which direction most of them are in :> So I get to a point in the map where I see another land mass and I am confused. I scroll over and find I already have a section of map discoverred that connects to the mainland that I even forgot I had gone in that direction early game. At the start of Atlas mapping I was running around directionless (pun intended). What was important is that I found the citadel I had discoverred a while back even before I know what a citadel was. It was just there and needed a T15 map so I forgot about where it was but I was sure I had one. What was ever worse was scrolling through that area to find I had already discovered two stone and one copper and since I had no idea at the time completely forgot about them and with the map being so zoomed in I just never went to that section again. Of course this also involves the fact that I didn't know there were specific building layouts on the map for each citadel so I didn't even know what to look for other than mouse over every non green map!! Now I know for sure that by the time I get to T15 maps (if ever) I will completely forget where these are again. |
