Ancient Aegis Allocation Not Affecting Body Armour ES

I Just allocated my amulet with the large node: Ancient Aegis which 60% increased armour and energy shield from equipped body armour. When I allocated this, my Energy Shield DID NOT change at all. It did not provide any Energy Shield increase at all...

I had 4470 Energy Shield prior to "instilling" and had 4470 Energy Shield after "instilling".
