Mob lightning damage

Without just complaining it feels like the mob lightning damage is set higher then its supposed to be. I'm playing warrior with 79FR, 76CR, 78LR and 75CR. Any Extra damage gained as percent doesn't feel noticeable until its lightning damage and same for orbs on the ground spawned by rares. Fire and cold rare orbs, just tank through. Lightning orbs just die.

Final thoughts/speculation ---> Lightning damage is just constantly hitting with crits thus increasing the damage x2 bare minimum.

Old post, but I think the op is still onto something.

I have a couple things to add.

Lightning damage very often hits and one shots. A single bolt of it.

First off I have 86% evasion, which maybe isn't nuts or anything- but it always seeeeems to hit. Its an arc style attack, from the mob, to me. Perhaps the attacks are aoe or something- I can't tell, its not clear. IF it ignores evasion... well what the fuck is an evasion build supposed to do? The lightning hit is instant, there is nothing to play around.

Well, maybe there is and I haven't noticed it yet.

There are a lot of attacks that ignore evasion- but most of them you can play around. The mob attacks in a line, the mob jumps in and you need to roll back or to the side. Mechanics. Lightning... its over in a... flash. 0_o

The play goes like this- oh these are lightning mobs(say a group of 8), great. I'm already expecting to get popped in some weird unpredictable way- so right away its a bad feel for the player. Instantly I'm trying to keep maximum distance, as non-interactive as possible. I'm not sure what I can do, except attempt to kill from max range. If nothing else, the attacks are unclear, so I don't feel like I have options to play around.

A lightning shot goes off, its no where near my character- sweet I'm still alive. Another one goes off, I'm dead. Cool story bro.

Another example, corruption spawns, its the red electric turtle things. Dead.

Another example, delirium glass, I step on it, it spawns, instantly I'm dead to something electric. Usually 8 things firing at once, generally I always roll instantly or they target and kill before I can even see what they were.

Maps all depend on what spawn, non-electric mobs, easy, mow through it. Electric mobs, I generally get one shot a bunch and fail the map. Sometimes I have no idea what killed me.
