Passive Skill Tree "%10 Increased amount of Mana Leech" is too ambiguous
After testing this particular passive skill*, I've learned that this gives you mana leech even if you don't have any mana leech on gear. However, there are several other skills worded exactly the same way that do not work that way. For example, "10% increased energy shield" doesn't give you extra energy shield unless you have energy shield already.
Both of these things are worded the same even though they work differently, and it's way too confusing. Especially since there's still a lot of stats that don't show up in the character menu. * I invested the skill points, drained my mana on some skills, and then tested it by attacking some trash mobs. Mana was filled almost instantly on larger attacks. Last bumped on Jan 9, 2025, 8:20:07 AM

sounds buggy the way you describe it

" It is a bit buggy I think, but there's other examples that work that way. Damage, energy shield, armour, and evasion rating when listed as "% increased" increase existing stats by percentage. So if you dealt 10 fire damage before and you get 80% increased fire damage, you now deal 18 fire damage. But Resistances, mana regen, and apparently mana leech add percentages to your stats directly. So even if you had no mana regen before, if you take a node with 10% mana regen you now have 10% mana regen. However they're both worded the same way, so you'd think they act the same way too. There's no way to differentiate between the two. |
