Overlay map visibility
I often find myself playing with the overlay map constantly on, because of the minimap location on the screen and maze nature of areas in general. As a result, when I am traversing though the area, i don't even look at the game. All i see are blue lines of the overlay map, which is a shame in my opinion.
I wish we could have togglable option for the overlay map, which puts it under the character, instead of covering entire screen. Basically, something in between current minimap and overlay map options. ![]() P.S. I'm aware of transparency option. Still looks bad, especially in dark areas. You can move the overlay with the arrow keys on your keyboard.

" It gets reset every time you close/open the overlay. Also doesn't really solve the issue of visual clutter, as you can see on screenshot below, where i moved my character position all the way to the bottom of the screen (red circle). All I am asking is an option to limit the map overlay borders roughly to pink rectangular area, to improve visibity, when you have map open. ![]() Last edited by TTBrian#7930 on Jan 10, 2025, 5:54:28 PM

" After a while using overlay becomes just a habit you start to flash on screen and in that brief time you get all the info you need. Last edited by LaNSa#2186 on Jan 10, 2025, 5:54:51 PM

" Personally, even after all this years, I default to having map constantly enabled. In POE 1 I used full map transparency as a band aid, but in POE 2 I actually enjoy art of terrain and other features on the map overlay, but you don't really see the game anymore, if your map is not transparent. Which is why I wish there was an option to limit the map to area somewhere in the bottom/middle part of the screen. Last edited by TTBrian#7930 on Jan 10, 2025, 6:10:02 PM

In addition it would be very nice if we were able to zoom out on the corner map.
I typically never really look at the corner map because you are zoomed in so close it's not useful. Currently I am in a constant struggle to adjust the transparency of the map overly via opening options. A hotkey for the increase and decrease of transparency the map overlay, similar to being able to zoom in and out would be great. |
