To the Developers of Path of Exile 2

I have been a passionate supporter of the original Path of Exile for years, but the direction taken in Path of Exile 2 has left me deeply disappointed. The game now feels more like a Souls-like experience rather than an action RPG, which drastically alters the core appeal that drew me to the first game.

The current one-shot mechanics make it confusing why we even seek out defensive gear if a single hit can instantly kill the player. This design choice seems contradictory to the depth and complexity the original game was known for. Furthermore, the endgame map system has become frustrating with the loss of XP and the map itself upon failure. With no retry attempts available, it becomes nearly impossible to learn from mistakes or master challenging content.

Another significant issue is the penalty of dropping currency and items upon death. This harsh punishment discourages players from exploring and taking risks, especially in a game where long-term progression and character building were central to the experience.

I've been eagerly anticipating this sequel for over five years, but my excitement has been replaced with disappointment. The extreme difficulty, unclear boss mechanics, and unforgiving penalties create an experience that feels more punishing than rewarding. If the game continues on this path, how will players manage in a three-month league cycle?

Please consider rebalancing these aspects to make the game more of a true ARPG rather than a punishing Souls-like challenge. Otherwise, I see no reason to continue supporting the game moving forward. I truly hope you can bring back the magic of what made Path of Exile so special.

This game wasnt made for us. It was made for those who made it , because they like it this way. They are stuck in 1999 and made backward game , thinking they are so cool and innovative.

They needed resources in order to make PoE2 (the way they can enjoy it) so they lied and promoted game as newbie friendly in order to attract new players.

Once people bought EA , it was already too late , because GGG got all the money and those people who hoped to enjoy new game were left with .!. in their hands.

GGG crew is having a blast and the rest of us , well LOL suckers.

On top of everything , game is NOT fun nor rewarding.

It is fun for people who ''magically'' got 700 divines worth gear 15 days into EA , for streamers who (insane luck,ye sure...) get all OP build enabling Uniques few hour into mapping .

Darth ''magically'' got the only build enabling Unique he ever needed on his troll monk build on SSF few hours after completing campaign.

Its always streamers (unpaid game promoters) who get super uniques and who hit perfect rolls in 2-3 Exalts.

I am doing same maps they are doing , overlaping towers strategy with rarity/quantity precursors, i even got more magic find than most of them. Not a single Unique worth more than 1 exalt in 420 hours. I have 11 divines in my stash , 9 of which i got yesterday because i sold Audience with a king and 6 link.

If GGG had no benefits off of their streams , i would really consider their RNG to be pure luck. But in every game they ever play and promote on twitch , to have best RNG ever...man people aint naive nor stupid.
