Why do Mercenaries make for better Warriors and Monks?
Base on the current state of the game and how lackluster ascendancies (and armour for warriors) are for both the warrior and the monk, rolling a mace or staff based Gemling Legionnaire far exceeds the "melee" capacities of either warriors or monks.
I doubt this is intended. What can done to improve the melee classes? Last edited by Slomo4shO#0350 on Jan 11, 2025, 5:16:50 PM Last bumped on Jan 11, 2025, 5:54:18 PM

It all depend what you mean by better, provided you have infinite fund yes gemlink is the best class because of it's inherent bonus to stat.
How ever if you want to make an ethical build, you'll find it way harder to do on stat stacker. |

For warrior i do concure that gemling legionnaire get and easier start and lat because it get so many extra stats which warrior need the most.
but monk is a decent meleee fighter thanks to ES+evasion also you CC and aoe quite a lot Last edited by Kanjejou#7620 on Jan 11, 2025, 5:48:23 PM

Is this with top end stat stacking gear or can anyone do it?
Is there a build anywhere to demonstrate? I have a gemling, I'd be interested in seeing how this is done, as the spirit and cold/ lightning ascendancy points add a lot to ice strike build |

ya I havent heard anything about gemlings being better at monking then monks .. I've heard rangers make better xbow'ers on certain builds but I have yet to see any other class using quarterstaves tbf.. The ascendency and passive tree are very well set up for monk for CC but I havent tried a merc yet to see its possibilities.
