I forgot I already had a PoE account, so now I have two of them, and some questions.

I tried PoE some time ago, and forgot about the account I had for it. Yesterday I purchased PoE 2 on Steam, and before launching it I created a PoE account since I saw you need to have one to play/trade. I also linked that account to Steam soon after starting PoE 2.

Thing is, my old, long-forgotten account was also linked to Steam. Now I have two linked PoE accounts, with 300 shop coins (don't know what they're called) on the old account, and a character I play on the new account.

So, does that matter? If I buy something on one account, will it be available on the other one? If not, can I move that currency to my new account?

I'd prefer to have just one account, but the old one has a username I really don't like anymore, so I'd really, really prefer not having to use it.
