Make "Patches of Burning Ground" Effect More Visible and Less Frustrating
Changes were made to make the on-death purple projectiles much more visible (and maybe it's a placebo, but slower as well), so even if they hurt a lot it doesn't feel unfair.
Burning Ground desperately needs the same treatment. It cannot be the same colour as Player Burning Ground (eg Burning Inscription, or enemy corpses having a burning vfx ig they died whilst ignited). It also needs the highest priority over enemy aoe vfx (and your vfx), and made more obvious. As for balancing, I don't know if I'm not set up correctly but it seems to deal way too much, either in dps or total damage or initial delay (ie instantly). And punishes dodge roll too much because of its slowdown at the end - if you don't dodge out of the fire completely you just take more damage than if you walked out. Some screen effect should occur when you're ignited (similar to when you take damage), and a short delay in damage might be reasonable. Either reduce the duration (for less total damage), or reduce the dps (for more leeway for player decisions to mitigate it) - for the latter, the duration could be increased to keep total damage the same if wanted to punish those who ignore it. My Deadeye with a few Div investment destroys T15 maps pretty handily (don't have enough T16 sustain yet) and not much kills it besides telegraphed one-shots I missed, except for burning ground that I can't see and can't tell I'm dying to until I'm dead. I more so have an issue with rares having this modifier especially in the heat of combat. I think it’s a bit lame that when we are burning and don’t realise it there is no indication, while our health is draining there is no indication of fire damage your health bar doesn’t flicker with flames like it does when you’re shocked and it has little lightning strikes everywhere. Anyway the game is awesome but the really bad parts about it are killing it for me, just play something else is what I recommend walking away from this game and having a break is probably one of the best things you can do for your mental health. Hell Divers 2 is an awesome game, the devs really care and it’s not pay to win it’s a nice change up. Sometimes we spend so much time in exile we don’t realise it’s actually not fun. I’ve only just returned after a week break and I’m already over the game, no to mention that last patch was pathetic. I honestly don’t even know if I will return after the full release, I’m really starting to lose confidence in GGG and I’m a little dissatisfied and disappointed I gave them money.

Does burning ground ignore fire res? Because it still hurts so much even at 85%, I agree this mod needs some adjustment.

it is fine if you have life regen and like 33% damage taken from mana :)
punishes low regen builds as intented d:-D*
