PoE2 failed to deliver access with purchase

Activated a key wth Steam - linked Steam account to PoE website- even set steam profile to public, if that's a potential problem. Still no access. get the error
"Your account does not have access to Path of Exile 2 Early Access..." Last bumped on Feb 2, 2025, 9:04:53 PM

Hi there, the Steam key only unlocks the client in the library. It does not grant Early Access. I hope this clears things up!

it does not. Why would such a vague answer pose clarity? Where do you unlock access with a purchased key then????? There seems to be nowhere on the site. I also stated that I linked my steam account, and set to public (not sure if thats an issue for your server side visability or not) - by the way, 2 steps which seem incredibly unnecessary.
Where would one redeem a purchased key then? |

also.... Why would it be necessary to link a steam account, if it has nothing to do with the validation of the key? needless red-tape?

that link is a step in the right direction - only thing is it's saying invalid key when I enter it both with and without the dashes. Does the 30$ steam purchase not unlock the beta access?
