Doryani's Elite balance
Assuming I pulled the right name from a crowd of enemies, doryani's elite are little guys that carry around a comparatively large cannon. They have an attack where they shoot out an electric ball and then after a couple seconds, fire a secondary attack through the electric ball.
The secondary attack makes a lot of sense for how much damage it does, the problem I have been having is how much damage the ball does before it has been shot. I am a warrior with 78% electric resist, and that attack destroys me. I get that it isn't exactly the fastest attack, but part of the problem is that they are such little guys with a scurry about AI, it makes it very hard to notice and track them in a crowd of people. Made worse by them often appearing in maps were they are similar colors to the background. So, if the exact same attack was on the skeleton mage, I might actually be fine. Agreed, far too punishing of a mob. Cheesy difficulty is not good game design, both developers and the community need to stop defending this. There is a fine line and you have to be careful not to cross it as a developer, and if a game gets to the point where it's downright not fun for the majority, then what is the point in the game? |

I'm more bothered that they start putting down those mines all over the place way way before you're even close to see them on your screen (like we're talking arriving on the opposite side of the map and it's already cluttered with mines). Did the mistake of juicing out vaal factory with increased mob density and it had more of those spider mines than one would consider to be healthy.

Hi everyone, i have troubles only with this Elite monster, oneshoted my Witch 5 times, is pure nonsense.
Last time, 20 min ago, i didnt even see it on my screen. Waited abit after death to see who killed me and guess who did come? All my res is fully capped. I have 3k hp Without remnant, With remnant 5.6k+ Es without Grim feast 0.9k, with 1.8+ 18% Armor Even on my warrior it does alot of damage and if not pay attention will rip it off. I beg you to look at this monster and balance it. |

Please make a balance check on this mob (and his variants).
This is the only enemy I encountered in maps that kills me every time. Max 75% resist 2400HP Warbringer turtle charm 87% block with svalinn lucky block and this white mob can oneshot me easily from edge of the screen (or 2shot with basic attack). So I rush him and kill him fast right? Well when you do that, you run into their minefield that you have to evade and they back out a bit and start shooting you again. Its just unfair and annoying to fight these. The mines are a problem by themselves, with my endgame totem build, screen clutter is insane and these mines are invisible at that point. Please make them killable or make them more flashy and with some explosion indication that could be seen even over other effects on screen. I want to skip all maps that spawn them, but whenever I notice them, I already look at my death screen... Summarized: -too much base damage with his base attack, orb attack, mines -projectile speed is very fast, hard to react and avoid -planting tons of mines offscreen -mines are not visible enough -impossible to prioritize killing them -keeping very long distance and sniping you when you fight other mobs -basically no room for error when they are on (or even off) screen Last edited by Zahi_X#7704 on Apr 17, 2025, 3:58:26 AM

Also as was mentioned before, they are really hard to see, especially since they keep distance, they are very small and blend too much into the background and other enemies for how dangerous and unfair they are.
Jonathan wanted a specific situations and enemy types feedback to balance the game and when I heard it, this monster instantly popped in my mind and as I continue to play (and die) it keeps bothering me more and more... |
