Misinformation from GGG?
GGG (Jonathan) promised to not nerf poe2 builds before 0.2.
" This destroys multiple builds I am pretty sure. Why is no fun allowed in what is basically a void league (Early Access Standard)? On third month on top of that you had to nerf a build. Revert this change. Last edited by Hornsent#1110 on Feb 4, 2025, 5:37:47 PM Last bumped on Feb 5, 2025, 6:56:28 AM

You forgot the "unless" part.

Somehow the build still works.
I hope other Temporalis builds are fine as well. " Nah, I am fine with them nerfing infinite CoC from old Choir because it broke servers (and was bad for players either, losing map from crash isn't fun and can lead to very bad abuse cases and dupes). Current Choir doesn't cause those issues. I never crashed for a week playing the build. |

" Cast on X spells don't scale in any way differently from other spells so any "build" based on exploiting hitting ice crystals or plants to trigger meta gems is just a normal functional spellcaster and not "destroyed". Not having to deal with crashes caused by objects being hit too rapidly will be nice, and it was probably effecting other people sharing instance servers in their maps and causing them to get desynced for extended periods until catchup tbh. Personally I wish they'd make balance changes piecemeal and rapidly so we don't have to play a crappy unbalanced game for months at a time. PoE2, unlike PoE1 where the idea comes from, isn't in a good complete state where postponing balance changes makes any sense; it has extremely severe critical balance issues like spell scaling w/ archmage, herald looping, howa scaling, anything involving polcirkeln, whacky quarterstaff attack movement super speed, trampletoe, infinite slow, etc. etc. where having a fix in place as early as possible outweighs any downside like slightly inconveniencing exploiters because ultimately everyone benefits from stuff that removes all challenge and fun from the game being fixed. |

" Perhaps you should watch the dev interview from some weeks ago that addressed this as well as stuff coming in 0.2.0. Jonathan said anything that affects or breaks server performance is priority and they want to resolve it. So..., this isn't a nerf this is a bug fix or performance resolution. A nerf would be if the skill wasn't causing a problem but was doing a lot of damage and now it does less. See the difference? |
