Why endgame is not a fun experience?
GGG, don't follow Diablo 4 mistakes by pushing around players with ridiculous mechanics, players will leave eventually and this game will die out.
(1) XP Penalty (as game developer make the game appealing to as many players as possible) (2) Remove XP Penalty and create an elite league to separate the bad and good players so that all players will progress to level 100. (3) No respect for player's time (XP Penalty) (4) Loot Despawn when you die (not a cool game mechanic) (5) Server Lag on co-op (6) Endgame map too long to load (7) Spending +15 mins. to get ascendancy point not a fun run, needs redesigning. (8) Mobs/Elites one shot is terrible (9) Armor and max out resistances is broken (10) Atlas system not rewarding Last bumped on Feb 5, 2025, 10:07:54 AM

Just hit the 97 and never had problem with many of the things u said.
-Died 73 times on my run. Probably 10 of them were after 90, made me lose xp. That made me do preparations and push me to improve my defences. There is also omen which helps a lot. If xp loss isn't a thing, why should i improve my defensive layers? It would be cool to play glasscannon ranger or something with full rarity right. -What exactly u getting when u hit lvl 100? Its not mandatory, just another skill point. Its prestigious state only and not meant for everyone. -If your server laggy, try changing it. Last week had a problem, changed Frankfurt to Milan and it solved it. Right now playing on Frankfurt again which is my lowest ping location and having no lags. -Atlas needs more variety, i agree. Hopefully they will add many more interesting things there. I just dont understand in todays internet, what makes people thing their opinion is final and only relevant thing. I have problems with endgame but you didn't list any of them, all what you listed is completely irrelevant for me. My main issue is how zoomy endgame is, hopefully will be fixed in the next big patch (the one with economy reset).

I think bad layouts will be adressed, many players complains about that.
I have no issues some maps being bad or good but, wtf is this vaal factory. It really makes me sad when i need to click that map. |

" Believe what u want to believe man. It would be so nice to carry the legacy of "Divine orb / per hour" metric from poe1 to poe2. Poe2 doubled the concurrent player rate of poe1. Which means roughly %50 of player base haven't played poe1 before. All poe1 players having exact same vision, what happened in poe1 must happen in poe2. I am having no problem with playing different maps. It fits the theme of end game. Whole screen is like open world, includes forests, mountains, deserts and it feels good to encounter different type of maps. I would like them to improve on that aspect even more, more green maps in forest, more snowy maps in mountain part of atlas, etc. There are really cool stuff in this game in aesthetic manners. But all you think is what map is best for breach. Shame |

" I haven't been playing the game seriously (which means: 1h or 2h every 2/3 days) for 2 weeks and the content I've been farming the most is the ToC. I don't understand why people insist on believing that farmed content is breach by default. I don't. Layouts are not linked to breach. It's a question of ease of progress on the map and avoiding backtracking. I'm fed up with mazes. I'm a simple (and probably stupid) person, I like to move forward without being permanently blocked by walls, slopes or doors. I'm done with going back and forth from the beginning of the map to the end to find the last rare alive, and it has nothing to do with breach (hence my attraction to ToC, where the content is linear and easy to farm in a loop). edit 1: I could farm literally ANY content in the game, no matter how mediocre, if there was the ability to have the same layout looped. Whether you like it or not, that's what really made me appreciate PoE 1. Just farm in a loop with music in the background and that feeling of accumulating wealth to reach my league goals. I am sorry making wrong assumptions of you. It's just my experience most people evaluates maps by how good fit them for breach. Because breach gives the most xp and drops many things, high tier gears and such...
I understand there are people that only cares about currency/hour thing, but they need to understand my stereotype too. I wouldnt even log in the game if i was doing something in loop but i respect thats a thing.
