How can i merge my steam account with the POE client launcher??????

This has been a little vexing. Trying to play my character from my steam account just from the POE launcher??? Is it not possible to merge the two??? wtf is this crap

Hi there, if you have already merged both a Steam and Path of Exile account, and wish to play via the standalone launcher, you will need to login via your email and password as the credentials. Once logged in you should be able to select which sub-account you would like to connect from. Please note that this does not mean characters can be moved from one account to the other.

yes ty i finally figured it out, but now i do not like have two separate accounts linked. IS there a way to remove the one without any characters on it?
