GGG PLEASE remove or massively tone down XP loss. Ruining game for me.
" Dark Souls is good about fairness. When you die, you're given a second chance to go pick up your XP and be ready for whatever got you the first time (and everything is tuned to be reactable). For POE2 there have been too many instances where I've been killed in one hit & have no idea how it even happened. When that happens in this game, there is no second chance - you lose your XP (often ending with less XP than when you started), you lose your waystone, you lose your tablet bonuses, and you don't get the same monsters that spawn... so there's hardly even a learning experience out of it. " You're completely missing the point. We're saying most of these deaths are nothing to do with missing avoidable deaths but rather things like some fire laser beam shot, from a mob not even on the screen, 1 shotting us. Yes, there is some 'get gud' here but most of it isn't. And getting back to the core, main point; it isn't fun. Last edited by Telmorial#0280 on Feb 6, 2025, 5:20:32 PM

" Then make a post pointing out which enemy's attack is doing too much damage at which tier against which defense, that'd be valuable feedback, instead of asking to change de punishments for dying. |

GGG should have created an Elite Leagues or whatever they call it, just to separate the good and bad players.
Once you join/enter the Elite League you are no longer allowed to go back to the standard mode. From their you can level up to +100 and they can impose the xp penalty from their. Currently this game is putting a handcuffed behind the back of the player based by stopping their progression. This will end up a large portion of the player based leaving, and this game will die out. |

You know what "one step forward, two steps back" realy means? It means they know 100% of the player base hates it, they know what we want, they know a better solution to the problem. Theyre not going to fix it unless it becomes profitable to them. THATS what they havent figured out yet, and so were going to have to wait untill TenCent makes them sell XP buffs on the MTX shop. Then theyre going to agree to lower the XP panalty but slowly reduce the normal XP we get until were forced to buy XP from the MTX shop or not level up at all.
I've seen it done in many other games. "We prommice that we wont sell XP buffs on our store" and then 1.0 finally rolls out and along with it comes purchasable XP buffs. |

" They'll never fix every single unavoidable death. It's valuable feedback, the whole XP loss isn't fun. That's my feedback. |

" You are hihgly mistaken. In any game, all deaths can be avoided. PoE2 isn't different. |

" I found the best way to avoid dying constantly from one shots is to not play any more. Last edited by KingDaMuncha#6025 on Feb 6, 2025, 5:52:01 PM

" I think that might be a side effect of this, on a larger % than people think. In the end of the day, this game needs players, the more players, more money for GGG. The more money means more and better cool features for us. So the elitists out there should be happy us low casuals want to make the game for fun for casual play. |

" @89 or 90 I stopped trying to care about leveling. I had the same exact problem. Once I popped that level, I realized you can't experience exp loss if you have NO exp. So I tried a couple different builds, they sucked, died a bunch, wasn't fun, and I pretty much bricked the character for myself. The characters not broken, it's just NOT fun to die, AND get so heavily punished for it.. Ranger is Super fun! |
